45 year old male just had both colonoscopy and endoscopy done on May 19th and that lead to a NEW diagnoses of Crohn's disease along with H. Pylori in my stomach. Have had two perirectal abscesses in the past but Crohn's was ruled out both times by different doctors. I have completed antibiotics (for the pylori) and 5 weeks of prednisone but have been suffering from pain in my lower abdoment in multiple places for the past 7 weeks. I had a CT Scan done which showed no active Crohn's and no other abdominal issues. But why do I have this pain that comes and goes, dull, sharp, stabbing, ache, all at different times. My specialist and family DR says, "that's just Crohn's". Has anybody else had constant lower abdominal pain for 7+weeks after a colonoscopy with no prior major IBD symptoms?
I have no diarrhea, no fever, no blood in stool, all blood work came back fine. I'm thinking I need a second opinion. I've missed out on important things in the past 7 weeks and starting to feel a little hopeless. Any advice or knowledge anyone can share would be most appreciated. My second option BTW could take 6 weeks or more to get. This pain will just not go away. I'm also taking Tramadol when it gets to be too much.
