To celebrate my upcoming colonoscopy on Thursday this week, Wednesday evening I'm having a party!! I'll supply the PEG-ES or GO-lytely!!! You can't pass this opportunity up! :tongue: To make the night more exciting (and fun?) there's only one bathroom!

So RSVP soon! It's sure to be a blast!

If you can't make it, wish me luck on Thursday :thumleft:

I have some prep left over from my last scope.....might not be good now though...lol

Glad at least one person has a good sense of humor when it comes to the dreaded colonoscopy! I'll come to your party - but don't expect me to have any fun!

Disclaimer: I've only had two colonoscopies in my life (I know I know, only two, what right do I have to complain?!) but the mere thought of my next one makes me break out in a nervous sweat and want to vomit (seriously, a bit nauseous right now). It's the freaking prep. I just can't.

BEST OF LUCK JEFFERSON! IT'S YOUR PARTY AND YOU CAN POOP IF YOU WANT TO! (and you'll want to, I'm sure).

Irony...I'm having another colonoscopy Thursday as well..I'm bringing my ducolax and go-lytely.

My first colonoscopy was in June while I was admitted. I dread that stuff. I'm looking at it now in my kitchen. Wish us luck!

I think the prep is worst than the scope!!!!!
 
Thank you for this, it made me laugh, just what I needed as having a "crappy day". Wish I lived near you so I could of attended!! All the best for Thursday!

Ha ha! This made me laugh. I have been to many pity parties but I don't think I'd want to come to a prep party! Especially not with only one bathroom, eek! I'm undiagnosed and whenever I do get a diagnosis, I will be throwing a big party then! No go-lytely will be allowed at my party though.

had a party all of my own last week and still hungover but thanks for the invite, good luck for tomo I hope you get lots of sedation it's by far the best bit :)))

i have had 3 colonoscopies and miralax is the BEST tasting prep yet. I was ordered to take 2 ducolax and 4pm and start the miralax at 6pm - finish at 10pm and 2 more ducolax at 8pm. The miralax powder is what I bought and mixed with some ice tea --- no taste or effect on the tea what so ever love it.
 
Good luck! Yes on the sedation! And a little lube for the bum helps the process be less painful during prep

My GI just told me it was time again for mines. Something he knows I don't enjoy. I never will forget the one I had over 8 or 9 yrs. It made me so sick to drink all that stuff to prepare me for the procedure, so, I went to have it done, and when the doctor completed the exam, he left a message with my husband:rof: Tell her, I know she lied about taking that medicine, because he had to move around all the stuff still in me.:rof:

Yep, here I sit after just finishing my 2nd glass... alone. Nobody came, a few RSVP'd but haven't shown yet. Maybe they're planning on being fashionably late? It's a shame really, all this solution and no one to share it with.... FINE..!!! I'm going to drink it ALL... if they show up late TOUGH! You all had your chances, I gave you ample opportunity to make travel arrangements to be here... even you fine folks from the UK! But you're missing out, this is good stuff.. perfectly chilled, a tad salty... mmmmmmm!!
