Having a colonoscopy mid August. I am already having anxiety about the prep. I have always gotten so sick, including vomiting with the prep. The last time they had to give me (compozine?) for the nausea when I got to the Dr's office. Help with ideas to make it easier. I have to drink 2 bottles-gag- and 4 ducolax.

Prep is the pits, isn't it? My first colonoscopy was as an inpatient and the nurses gave me the prep with a straw to drink it and I found that helped rather than trying to gulp it down. I also found alternating swigs of the ghastly stuff with some nice big swigs of cold water helped too, and that also help with the flushing out process.

Maybe this time your doctor can give you some anti nausea and vomiting medicine beforehand. I take Zofran which helps a lot. You probably want at least 8mg version.

Ask for diacol pills. I used them and it was way easier didn't have to drink that nasty shiz
