Hi everyone, I just found this site searching for "Colopast Ostomy Crohn's Disease". Does anyone here have any reviews of Coloplast Ostomy supplies? Have you been happy with them? Are they high quality? I'm a little (ok, a lot) overwhelmed right now so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like their bags but hate the flange. I'm tubby and they just don't sit well, for them to be of use and stay on I need to use tape. I find they just don't conform very well.

I use Coloplast SenSura two piece and I love them! I like the plastic-y flanges because I tend to be in my hot tub a lot and they stay on the best for me. I like that the bags lock on to the flange (I've never had one come off) and I like the variety of bags they have as well. I've been using them for almost 2 years and haven't had any problems since I started using them.

I use the Coloplast Sensura Flex system..Love it 99% of the time. It was the only thing that worked when I had my parastomal hernia.

I can keep the flange on for 4-5 days. They have different bag sizes for different needs. Small one for work, large one for night time. They even have a really small one for nights out. Really good product. Very good service when you ring them direct.

Overall very satisfied.

I've been trailing out the same bags as Nyx but open ended (I'm assuming she uses the closed)

I liked it but I'm used to the top of the dansac bags being lower so I found the height of the bags a bit annoying. I also always seemed to get any air in the bag trapped at the top when I had it under my track suit bottoms- even after emptying it! Which got a bit annoying as I felt like I had a balloon under my top all the time. Things I liked was the plastic flange. At first I was worried because they didn't seem to bend much before putting it on. But I worried for nothing as it was fine. I also liked how easy the bottom of the opening was to clean after emptying but it was harder than my usual to actually empty. Also liked how you could tuck the opening up to hide it.

Thats the filters Michelle at the top, yeah, I know what you mean. You can burp that puppy though! I know you're good at burping bags. LOL!

Yeah they are at the top on my dansac bags but my dansac bags only come to about 1cm above my stoma and the coloplast ones came up to my waist lol.

I wish I could design my own bag with all the best bits from all the brands lol

Yup! Wish we could do that! It does help if you give feedback to the companies, they do listen!

Lol you shouldn't of told me that, I'll be writing a list and sending it to them lol.

Maybe I'll just design my own so I get some of the royalties! Just imagine it!
'what do you do?'
'I design bags'
'Oh? What shops sell your bags?'
'Ostomy bags, darling! Handbags are so last year!'

Erm, I think I need to go back to work lol

i only stopped using them dansac bags becuase i couldnt tuck them up lol and i thought the coloplast bags were a lil easier to clean and empty.

i'm still using the 1 piece coloplast bag that i used from day 1 in the hospital, i have never had any problems or leaks etc. so as they say 'if it aint broke don't fix it'. lol
i wear the smallest 'mini' bag that they make.

I still use the Coloplast Assura and have been for a couple of years now. The Sensura filters (even though they have two) always let me down during the day whereas the Assura filter (it only has one) was working right through to the evening. I have used Dansac Nova in the past but found the emptying a little messy and annoying compared to the Coloplast bags.

Having said that, I haven't tried one in a while and I guess they may have updated. I do like the shape and folding part of the Sensura. I may well call up and get some samples to try.

I use the Coloplast Sensura Flex system and am quite happy with it. They had started me with the Hollister in hospital, but the tape would stick too well to my skin, so I tried the Coloplast and am quite happy with it. It takes less time to put on then the Hollister, and the bags is broader than the Hollister, so there seems to be a better distribution of the output. With the Hollister, I always felt like I was carrying a tennis ball the minute it got a quarter full.

Since I started with the Coloplast, I've also not had any leaks/blowouts at night and can often sleep for about 7-8 hours without emptying.
