I had a nurse bring up MM with me at the pain clinic but she said they had a policy against recommending it, so the doctor in the pain clinic would not. Now this was within the Kaiser Permanente NW system. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with doctors in the Kaiser system and MM? Is there a company policy against MM?
I've been reluctant to approach my primary care doctor about it because of that nurses statement.
As for Kaiser, I would say that I've generally had a very high level of care. All my doctors communicate, etc... I really don't want to go outside the system and I feel like going to the pot doctors (one visit for a recommendation) is kind of disingenuous if you follow the law. I think you need to have a relationship with the doctor who recommends MM for you (technically).
