Complications with Osteomyelitis

Hello everyone! I am new to the Crohns forum, although I am not new to the Crohns world. I was diagnosed in December 2010 when I was 13. It has been quite the adventure. Lots of ups and downs and just when I thought it was going great, bam problems come out of nowhere. Just this June I had surgery of my jaw bone because of a somewhat serious case of osteomyelitis. I had to take antibiotics through a PICC line for 6 weeks following the surgery and right after, I was put on oral antibiotics for 6 months. 6 months!! To me this seems like an extensive amount of time, but I do know osteomyelitis is tough to treat and they do not want it to reoccur. That being said, I am currently one month into these oral antibiotics and I just can't bear the thought of lasting 5 more months... I haven't taken my Humira in 2 months and man, my body is feeling it. I know it's for the best, but I just desperately want to start it up again. I'm taking 6MP still everyday, but that really does not seem to be helping much. And I am currently taking 500mg 3 times daily of amoxicillin. I have been doing fine on the amoxicillin, but just this past few days I have noticed a slightly uncomfortable pain while urinating and after, what seems to be a few drops of blood. I have read that amoxicillin can cause blood in the urine? I will probably have to go to my doc to find out what's up. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has had similar experiences with either osteomyelitis or while using amoxicillin. I'd love to hear that I'm not the only one with these crazy problems thanks fellow crohnnies!

If you do go back on the Humira, make sure your doctor tests you to make sure your body hasn't built up antibodies against the medicine. Also, if you are on an anticipation, my recommendation is to go on a probiotic
