I went to the er this evening, feeling rough all week. They ran a ct with contrast, which they say came back okay. However, I have had anywhere from 7 - 11 BM daily, anywhere from soft, ribbon like to pure liquid. Today, the last two BM had a bit of blood, not a lot, and my intestines are on fire and doing jumping jacks. So the ER doc thinks I am not in a flare...can that be so when I am having all these other things going on? I haven't had a "normal" BM in so long I wouldn't even what is okay and not anymore. Other labs were okay, potassium was 3.5 - always a concern for me, and my wbc was slightly elevated at 13,000. Are CT's accurate?

Is the ER doctor familiar with Crohn's? It sounds to me like it's definitely a flare. Could you contact your GI soon?

If you're able to start your Humira soon it should hopefully help with all this, though.

He said to call my GI tomorrow and said the GI may want to do another scope. I am STILL waiting on the nurse to come for my first Humira injections, Ocean. I suppose if they do not call in the morning to set up the injections, I will call them. He offered pain meds, was kind, but, really basically told me to keep doing what I was doing. I do have an appt in two weeks with my GI.

Yeah, it's always best to be proactive and to try and contact others if you're waiting on them. You don't want to suffer because of someone else being negligent! So I really hope you can get the nurse soon. I know how much of a difference Humira has made for me.

Good luck with everything in the meantime, and take care of yourself as best you can. :)
