I experience nausea a lot and constant hunger pains even after I've eaten.

What could be causing this?

Are you on any drugs currently? When I was on Prednisone I'd eat so much and I'd always feel hungry even if I were nauseous at the time.

No. I'm undiagnosed. The only meds I take are for the possible MS they think I have.

I take Neurontin, Welbutrin, Flexeril, Prazosin and Buspar.

I noticed this started happening last year before I was ever on any medication.

I was on prednisone as a kid though for asthma issues but that was a long time ago.

Hi Jamilea: Sometimes indigestion can mask as hunger. It's something I deal with quite a bit. Hope you figure out the source of your pain and concern soon.

I got and still get it once in a while. Doctor said it was spasms. I get them to the point where I throw up as well. I believe this was one of my first signs of Crohns.

Mike, thanks for this info. My doctor said it's not related to the Crohn's, which I have found hard to believe.

I started getting them once in a while the summer before I got really sick and then it was just non stop. After a couple months of prednisone they went away for a while but come back every once in a while. That is the only way I can describe them too, crippling hunger pains.

No hunger pains here I just want to eat all the time. I feel hungry constantly and I'm not on pred. just Humira.

Lucy - me too! I have had more munchies since coming off the pred than I did at 40 mg. I'm now 5 months on Humira and packing on the pounds.

I always feel hungry when I am done eating. Plus, having food in my mouth is the only thing that takes away the bad taste from the Flagyl. So I just keep eating, and eating, and eating....

Amy, I was trying to remember who was having the bad taste in mouth, because I read something interesting recently. Lately my friends and I have been on a "flavor tripping" kick in which we eat tablets containing dried miracle berries. Miracle berries make sour foods taste sweet for anywhere from aboug 30 mins to 2 hours, so we'll eat sour cream and limes and rhubarb and things instead of having a sugary dessert. While reading up on the berry, I saw that it was suggested some people who experience persistent metallic or other bad taste in mouth from medication find that eating the berry gives me a break from that bad taste. Who knows, maybe it will give you some temporary relief! Thinkgeek.com has the berries, as do a few vendors on eBay.
