Hey chronie gang is it just me or are there others out there that are constantly tired I wake up tired I'm sleepy during the day and if i do a few things i shake from tiredness in the evening. I had my vitamin levels checked and there ok b12 is ok vit d is a bit low but minerals and vitamins are for the most part ok. Is this just a normal Crohn's thing as the disease hangs around i have always had an elevated inflammatory marker could this be it

I'm not diagnosed yet, suspected crohn's though and waiting on a colonoscopy. I'm only 22 and I honestly have no energy. There are some days where I feel so fatigued (almost like I ran a marathon that day) when all I did was sit on the couch. Even my legs get tired if I walk around too much. I feel so lazy but I honestly can't help it! Doesn't matter what time I go to bed at night, even if I get plenty of sleep, I struggle getting myself up and out of bed in the morning :/

I have crohns and have very low iron. Other vitamin levels are normal. I am exhausted all the time. Caffeine is only a temporary solution and not that good of one! If I didn't set an alarm in morning, I would be able to sleep most of the day. Its rough trying to maintain a normal life w crohns when you can't absorb nutrients like normal. Do you know if you are anemic? Good luck. Hope you can feel better.

I am always tired it seems :( Can easily sleep all day and night you are definitely not alonr there :D

Hi. It could be a result of the crohns. If your blood work is all good then I'd look into the possibility of depression which is highly related to IBD. When I'm in a flare exhaustion is the one constant.

Iron deficiency induced anemia is very common in people with crohn's disease, I had it a few times in the past, you tend to be extremely tired, no energy, dizzy, headaches.

An iron IV fixes you right up if that's the cause.

Supplementing iron orally isn't that effective, because the cause is lack of iron uptake and bleeding. Can't hurt to eat some iron rich foods though.

I'm very easily fatigued. If I run one or two errands or do a few tasks at home, I'm totally wiped out. My arms sometimes get so weak I have trouble holding a book or holding the phone up to my ear.
