Constipation?

What do you all consider constipation? DD took a Zpack for her sinus infection and had loose, sometimes frequent stool for a few days after stopping but never diarrhea. For the last two days she's had firm almost pebble-like bowel movements. I had her start her Colace (50mg twice a day) to see if that helps and have a message in to the GI. Before diagnosis she had pretty severe constipation (she didn't go for a week) so just wondering if anyone has experience with Crohn's with constipation. I'm glad she's still going but wondering if I should be concerned about the amount/shape of it? Or do people with Crohn's have "normal" constipation issues too?

Some kids get constipation so,e get diarrhea it seems to vary. We use miralax for constipation. My daughter takes it every day.

This is a real balancing act in our house. My son has constipation so we use miralax daily. At times he can have diarrhea though (maybe something he's eating, although we haven't been able to identify what), so I'll decrease the miralax for a couple days. Then we're right back to the constipation.
