evening all,
went to consultant yesterday.just wanted to know if anyone has any experience of the following:
Recent tests have shown that ive got a narrowing of the top part of the bowel that joins the osephagus(spell check) which is possibly why i get a pain just below my rib cage. he also said that it could be some h-phlori bacteria that could still be in the system following my stomach ulcer a year ago.
we discussed having the procedure "stricture dilatation" whereby a water filled balloon is inserted up the you know what and dilated where the bowel has narrowed. has anyone had this? he said it can be risky and printed me off some research from his own website. although he did start me on esomeprazole 1 twice per day to see if it was an acid problem.
one good thing was that since june this year ive put on pretty much half a stone?! doesnt feel like it, but its good to know.
now on 50mg azathioprine twice a day and 2g pentasa twice a day.
