Anybody consider kissing a new bf or gf may have caused a flare? introduction of harmless bacteria from one peron through kissing that your body does not tolerate or begins to attack?

No way, the bacteria of the mouth are entirely different and it's an awful long jump from the mouth to the GI tract. If it worked that way I'd be in a permaflare. :p

no you can't think like that

wash hands after a hospital visit and avoid large crowds, but other than that there's not much else you can do

Honestly I kissed someone and shortly after developed crohns. I know he had some illness maybe mono not sure and it may have triggered my predisposition. Who knows?

I would say generally no to the idea of it causing a flare but getting sick yes and then needing an antibiotic which may cause a flare, yes.

Mono is referred to often as the kissing disease. Its severe fatigue and feel unwell for a long period of time generally and need to be out of school/work.

If you got some sort of other sickness from kissing someone it could have def triggered the disease flaring. And I see a lot of people say it is impossible for it to directly cause a flare, but I am unsure..You would likely have to do some SERIOUS saliva exchanging. When I was a teen I got my braces taken off. The bacteria from the braces being taken off sent me to the hospital for a long time, high fever, bleeding, the works. Although it is unlikely to get that much bacteria from someone else's mouth, ya never know...And if so, you should probably tell your partner to limit the amount of saliva that comes out of his/her mouth ;) haha! I hope you feel better
