crohns and laser
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place or not, so if it's in the wrong place, I'm sorry. I wanted to post this and see what others thought and if anyone has had the same experience. I had my 1st ever flare up at the age of 31. No one in my family has Crohn's. I'm the 1st and only. I had my daughter 3 years before my flare up and I had gotten terrible stretchmarks and we wanted to go on vacation and I wanted to be able to wear a bathing suit and not be self conscience so I found a place near my home that had a great deal on laser treatment to remove stretchmarks. I was told it was safe and no problems, so I signed up for the recommended number of sessions (big waste of money, didn't help at all). In the middle of my treatments, about halfway through the sessions, is when I started getting the flare up. I remember this because I was in the hospital when they called my cell to remind me of my next appt. and of course I had to reschedule. Now, I started thinking about this recently, thinking is it a possibility that the laser treatment could have triggered my Crohn's for me? They were concentrating on where my stretchmarks were (left side) and that's exactly the area that was affected originally. What do you guys think? Anyone have a similar experience? Is it possible or am I being totally off base and it's just a coincidence.
