Hello everybody
I had an ileal resection 5 weeks ago, I didn’t have terrible crohns issues but the surgeon agreed to do the procedure on my request. He agreed that I had a very good chance of benefitting from the op.
Anyway, the surgery went very well and I was home within days. Recover has been a lot harder than I ever thought I’m a 34 year old fit male but blimey; it has been tough to get the energy levels back. Took a while to get the bowels to work proper again but they are getting there too.
The reason I am posting is that I have had quite bad bloating and bad tiredness over the past 2 days. Of course the natural worry is that the dreaded Crohns has returned already. It has been my first full week back at work and my little 3 year old boy has been getting up at the crack of dawn the past few days so I am hoping it’s just down to that.
I have had my follow up letter from the hospital, November!!! Slightly more than the 4-6 weeks they said. Should I be more worried? Should/can I ask for any tests to ease my mind?
Thanks for your advice
