I was recently prescribed Provigil by my psychiatrist and was given a few weeks of samples. I've felt an immediate change in my energy levels. I went from spending all day on the couch to having the energy and desire to get out and do the things. It's truly been an amazing, quick turnaround. I've been getting over a moderate flare-up that lasted a few weeks and this has truly been a complete 180 for my energy.
Of course, there's always a caveat- after taking the first dose, I experienced some noticeable stomach pain and nausea.
Now my question is, has anyone here had experience with this drug? Good or bad? Also, should I expect the stomach pain to go away as I get used to the drug or is it something that says I should stop taking it?
I would love to hear from others about how your experience has been and would recommend anyone who suffers from chronic fatigue as a result of Crohn's to consider speaking to your doctor about Provigil/ Nuvigil.
