Hi, I was Diagnosed with Crohns disease in my early 30's and have been dealing with it for the last 36 years. When i turned 60 my Gastroenterologist diagnosed me with Lactose intolerance. Yes I know I hit the jackpot! Anyway these last few years i have changed a lot of my food for non dairy lactose free products. I have been on Stelara injections bi-monthly since 2020 and started doing them monthly January this year. Nothing seems to be working, I have tried eliminating foods that i think may be a problem but i still have chronic diarrhea all the time, I've noticed that the anti diarrhea tablets are not working the way they used to and so that leaves Questran lite sachets and these take a bit of work to make up, not something you can do on the run. I am curious if there are other people out there with the same problem and how you are being treated for it. i really would appreciate any feedback. Thanks Theresa.

You should check for a Histamine Intolerance. I am lactose intolerant, have Rheumatoid Arthritis with Crohns symptoms and a Histamine Intolerance. I am on Humira which helps the Crohns symptoms and the RA, I avoid all lactose but if I'm not careful about Histamine producing food ( tomatoes, avocados, kiwi fruit etc) the uncontrollable diarrhea starts again.
