Hi,
Just wondered if anyone knows how the doctors differentiate between inflammation in the stomach and crohns inflammation? I had a gastroscopy a month ago which showed inflammation of the stomach or "erosive gastritis" and a ulcer (was tested and isn't the bacterial one) and have been put on omeprazole again the same dose I already had for 10 weeks and did nothing! My consultant said in clinic its important not to rule out it being actual crohns in the stomach and at the time I wasn't thinking on my feet enough to ask how he could tell one from another? I also have an active flare up anyway at the moment lower down and am awaiting the barium to rule out a stricture still.
I know its very rare to have crohns in your actual stomach but do any of you have any experience of this?
