I saw my Gastroenterologist this morning, he tells me that my disease (Crohns, dx May 2012) is confined to the "last few feet of the small intestine", and that surgery to remove this area does not result in the Crohns appearing elsewhere in the gut later. Is this true? It doesn't seem to jell with what I have read here and other places on the net.

(I attach a copy of my original CT Enterography results on which the crohn's diagnosis was made).

That's not necessarily true.

Crohn's can occur anywhere from the mouth to anus. I know with my disease it jumps around to different areas. I guess you could be lucky if you got ito ut and never had it return anywhere else, but that doesn't always happen.

My Crohn's has always been in the terminal ileum area. I had a small bowel resection seven years ago and it returned last year but in the same area.
