Cron's vs Colitis - treatment?

Hi!

I have the opportunity to talk about my Crohn's on local radio on Sunday and am just trying to fact check to get prepared...

I have Crohn's so am pretty educated about that but can someone with colitis get in touch to let me know how they've felt, treatments they've tried and what worked/didn't work.

Is the difference between the two just where it has an effect in the intestines?

Aside from location being restricted to the large bowel only with UC there are also structural differences. Crohn’s affects all layers of the bowel wall whereas UC affects the top layer only.

Also one thing to keep in mind since you are in the UK, the availability of biologics to treat UC I think is restricted, in the sense that they aren’t available as an option. So I would suss that out before proceeding with the program.
