CT with difuse colitis

Hi there, new to the forum. I had a CT scan that showed diffuse colitis all through out the large intestine. It is not CDiff as i did a stool test to rule this out. Has anyone had these results from a Ct scan?? Is there a good possibility it is Crohn's?? I have a long history of GI pain/issues. In the past 15 years Ive had 2 colonoscopies and EGD's both with dx of IBS, GERD and chronic fatigue. I did not clean out on my colonscopy 3 years ago so I know the doc did not have a good view. My PC is sending me to GI. Just worried that i'll be told its IBS etc and continue to suffer. The last 4 years have been aweful!! It doesn't help that I'm a middle age women. We get dismissed quite easily! Thanks for any input!

Welcome. My understanding is that colitis can only be in the colon but Crohns can hit anywhere between the mouth and the anus. Keep pushing until you get a satisfactory answer. Best to you.

Colitis of the entire colon sounds more like UC to me rather than Crohn's. I think the key thing here is for the GI to do a colonoscopy. You'll have a much better idea what's really going on down there from the colonoscopy results.
