Dapsone

With this flare I'm having a lot of skin issues; primarily skin ulcers under the wafer. Dermatologist started me on dapsone to fight the inflammation and bacteria. Anyone have experience with this drug?

I haven't heard of this but are you on general crohns meds. I know Remicade is supposed to also help with these complications.

I'm starting Remicade late spring early summer. Just getting insurance sorted out. The dermatologist doesn't think the Remicade will be effective in my case. GI figured the Remicade would work. I guess we shall see. The doctor did talk about re sighting the stoma to the other side if no progress is made. This has been going on for almost a year with no relief. Thankfully there are no fistulas present.

Well the GI should have a better understanding of Remicade over the dermatologist. Hopefully it will work so you don't have to get another surgery.
