Today I went back to my gi for a follow up, and was officially diagnosed with IBS. As the doctor explained, my blood work was all normal, my lab results from the scope was clear, despite the ulcer in my terminal ileum, which was probably caused from the prep, and had nothing to do with the bleeding the month before. And passing some blood is normal. good to know! Because I dont have 10 to 30 trips to the bathroom in a day, I have it really good (i know i'm lucky there). For the pain, he gave me an rx for buscopan.
I was told if I loose alot of weight or blood to call him. Sounds great!

So, I guess now I play the waiting game, and see what happens.

Thanks for reading my post.

This gi was an arrogant know-it-all from my first consult. I did a lot of homework on IBDs and IBS since my GP said 'crohns' back in may. And to prepare for yesterdays apt I even got all the paperwork from my gp, blood test and colonoscopy results and the write up from the ER doc. I knew he would say ibs. He tried to lie that there wasn't an ulcer! And I questioned things to the point where I knew there was no going forward with him. Even my husband questioned the bleeding, in a very blunt manner and he flat out denied it was a problem.
Thanks so much for your replies. I knew he was a lame gi, I just don't know how to proceed from here cause my gp is worse! They just don't care.
