Hi, so ive heard diet is really good for crohns but most ive seen you cant eat gluten and i cant live without my bread. Does anyone know any diets i could try which allows you to eat bread?

There could be more, but there is only one that I know of. In his IBD diet books (could be his web sight don't remember for sure.) Dr. Hunter has written some of his patients are able to tolerate wheat bread. Everyone is different with diet on what can be tolerated and what can not.

Dr. Hunter's IBD diet plan is different than traditional plans in that it comes in parts. The first part is a liquid elemental diet. Then from there foods are added testing to see what is tolerated and what is not.

I've seen an active poster here on the sight, Charlotte, write about her experience trying Dr. Hunter's Crohn's plan. It did not work for her sadly.

I've seen others, just recently I believe, that the elemental diet was working for him/her.

The web sight for this diet can be seen here:

It's not about diet, you can't pick and choose, it's about discovering whether or not you have gluten intolerance. If you have it there's absolutely no way around it, you just can't eat it without getting sick.

Not everyone with Crohn's has it but many do.

I have no problem with bread, pastas etc. I do think everyone reacts differently to different foods. A friend can't touch dairy, I can, although I am wary of it and have limited my intake as it isn't a priority.
