i'm seeing a lot of discussion about almond and other tree-nut flours..

but I'm wondering if mesquite flour is 1. OK on SCD or paleo 2. ok on the patient??

http://www.mesquiteflour.com/

it seems cheaper than almond flours

the whole point of paleo is to get away from agriculture-ed grains, correct?? wheat, etc..

mesquite has been used for generations, going back pre-Columbian in the american southwest, as a basis for a LOT of foods (and of course, mescal  )

take a look at paleohacks.com for the answer, they cover almost everything

it is a legume, but it is mainly the pods.
The real question is is it toxic or does it contain antinutrients?
