So my sister called the other day and told me that she has been taking Digestive Advantage for IBS for 3 weeks now & has felt better than she has in years!

She also told me they make a version for Crohns Dis.

Has anyone taken either version? If so, did it help?

All the thanks in the world!

Jillian,

I have not heard of a version of digestive advantage for Crohn's, but my GI did give me some samples of the IBS formula. He thought it might help keep my stools consistant and help with leakage through my fistula. I kind of got the impression that some pharm rep brought him some samples and he was just passing them off to me, so I never tried it. Basically, I think they are probiotics. I had forgotten about it until now. Thanks for bringing it up, though. I think I will give it a try because my digestion has been pretty rough lately. I'll let you know how it does.

I just googled it. Here is a link to their website:

I wonder if you can take this in place of your current meds? Or just use it to help the symptoms? Hmmmmmmmm

I looked at our Wal-mart here, they had 3 other versions, but not the Crohn's version. I did see it on-line for $6 a box I believe. I will let you know if I find anything :)

Tried it for a few months last year, but everything else was in such intense fluctuation medication-wise I can't say what it may have done, I was desperate for something to work, and I saw some improvements whilst on them, but then again, several other changes were taking place, including a few months started on Cimzia, stopping of Remicade, several supplements (ginger started, fish oil stopped, some others), Actos started for Crohns, and a thyroid surgery....

I believe probiotics in general to be promising, and another I tried was Florajen 3.....again, hard to say what they did with so many changes.

I could give a better answer if life allotted me the ability to try one variable at a time.....sorry.
