Well.. my HOPE that our meds for DD will be inexpensive was blown all to h3!! today :eek2:

prednisone is 30 bucks :eek2:
azathioprine is 60 bucks :(

(these scripts were 5 bucks upon discharge from the hospital 2 weeks ago - we can't get that same pricing)

I didn't even have the courage to ask about the iron, multi-vitamins, and prilosec (which are OK to get OTC)...

Has anyone ever utilized a website, goodrx.com (this is probably United States only /shrug/).. to get coupons, or discounts for their meds? if so -- is it VALID...??

I know some of the other meds, like Remicade, Humira have programs that help cover the medication but I don't think pred or aza does. I haven't come across a site that offers coupons like that but I will keep a look out. Hugs.

When I got ill.. career went bye bye... and up until LDN came along, I was too sick to work... so money was extremely tight. My GI kept me in 5-ASA for free (samples she called it... I went thru 1200 sample pills a month for quite some time... at no cost to me).. The pred was a different story... that I had to source, tho I had zero income. In this area, there is 1 pharmacy... for people on low or fixed income.. sort of a charity site. They would provide any prescription at cost... no fees, no markup, nothing added. I don't know if there are any in your area... but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Welfare offices would know.

Since we're on the subject of saving on prescriptions... I've been on LDN for over 5 yrs now. It is a custom compound... so you have to pay for these pills.. no coverage for them. The original pharmacy my GI arranged to compound them for me back in 2007 has charged me about $1 a pill... well worth the price. The drawback... they keep bankers hours. Mon - Fri 8:30 - 4:30... no evenings, no weekends. My work schedule made this a logistical nightmare... usually I'd take a vacation day every 3 months just to get these pills. Then, a brand new pharmacy was built on the outskirts of the city. And they said they were specializing in compounding. So, I tried them... pills were OK, but they charged me 3X the price of the other place.. And, they were a nightmare traffic wise to get to. So, despite their convenient hours, I reverted back to the original pharmacy. I moved last year, and I've transferred my other prescriptions to the local pharmacy near by. On a long shot, I asked them if they could compound LDN. They not only can, but at 20% less than I have been paying... and they have evening and weekend hours too.
So, now my little life saving pills cost me about 75 cents a day. Some days are diamonds....

Nope, but read positive reviews of this website at rxlogs.net. I have also lists of online pharmacy stores that offers coupons/discounts. I hope it helps.
