I recognize that I am probably having these dizzy spells due to my most recent episode. I haven't eaten much but I have been drinking alot of fluids and trying to rest. I am also still taking my B12.

However, this dizziness is super weird to me. I am in bed (lying on my back) and I simply move my head from left to right (or vice versa) and I am immediately dizzy. I have also experienced the feeling of "falling" although I am awake. It scares the crap out of me. It's almost like that feeling you get just as you are about to fall asleep but then you wake up.

Anyway...it just seems really strange to me...just hoping I'm not alone!

Elipse i was feeling like this for 8 months solid i couldn't do anything, the dr's gave me countless pills for the dizzyness which didn't help, they also sent me to an ear nose and throat speacialist but couldn't find anything (you could try and get referred to rule out anything) but when i had my op in may the dizzyness went straight away i was so relieved but it came back mildly about 6 weeks later. I am now on the modulen ibd liquid diet as i'm not absorbing any nutrients in my bowel and the dizzyness is easing. Could it be that the part of your bowel that is affecting is so diseased your not absorbing anything?

I had that. The ENT I saw told me that it is one of their most common complaints. It is terrfying!!! I tried to drive, but when I would turn a corner the car would seem to spin around in a circle. Very disorienting. And while at the doctor office, all of a sudden it felt like the chair tipped back, spun around, then dumped me out on the floor. The doctor yelled at me and said I must have an anxiety disorder to jump out of the chair like that. What happened was, he hit the button to release the chair and it went down fast. The vertigo made it feel like the chair was out of control!! Anyway, meclizine is the medicine I used to treat it, and you can buy it over the counter. Do have a doctor check it out, though because it can be due to several different things. They never found a cause for mine, and after several months it went away. Thankfully!!!

I have dizzyness spells all the time too. I have had them for awhile and I haven't quite figured out what to do for them or why they happen! :(
