Just wondering if it's common. My fistula is stinging and have flare symptoms today, after I made tacos last night, and had tomatoes lettuce and cheese. Do many of you have flares...
I see my GI this afternoon, and begin humira within the next few weeks, so I'm not worried about it, since 6mp, I havnt been flaring a lot, and with humira I think the bloating will be a lot better too. But on humira, do you still flare from tomatoes ect???....

I love tomatoes but they don't like me- same with capsicum/peppers - I seem to tolerate it ok if its cooked& skinned...but any raw veg with skins are a big no-no for a lot of ppl including me :(
hope you're feeling better soon x

I don't know that I would callnit a flare- but especially with an active fistula I could see foods with higher acidification counts causing problems. As well as spicy foods.

Hope it feels better soon!

Hell yeah!! Tacos and chilli always. But I seem to be able to eat tomatoes after removing the seeds and the skin (pour boiling water over them to make the skins come off real easy. ie: use just the flesh).

I omit the chilli sauce (try a mild sweet steak sauce instead), and use a tortilla wrap instead of taco shell.

Oh, and watch out for High Fibre tortilla wraps too - I made that mistake once, suffered all night for it!

Happy eating! :D

it would be worth eating each ingredient individually to see what was the cause. Theres quite a few which u ate that would cause other ppl problems
