Yesterday I saw my GI and he's ordered Apriso 0.375mg three pills qd, lomotil prn, zofran prn and monthly, sometimes biweekly, b12 injections (yesterday I had to get a double dose- 2,000mcg). He said that we'd recheck my b12 levels in three weeks and if there's not much improvement then he said he'd give me a b12 injection equivalent to five b12 shots!! Holy cow....I've never had b12 that low.
It's also been decided that for now I be kept off all immunomodulators unless things change and for the worse. I don't mind that seeing as how like most on this site I have to take a lot of meds. I don't want to take more than I have to. My doc also reminded me that if I get to the point where I'm having lots of diarrhea with nausea/vomiting and little intake to call him and he'd set up an appointment with the local infusion center for some IV fluids and zofran. My doc's awesome!!
Other than that, things are looking better, and I feel incredibly grateful!
