I have less severe crohns but I don't have a bowel movement everyday so I have them every 3-4 days which leads to an exacerbation of symptoms.
Does any one take miralax on a nightly basis or regular basis to stay regular?
I can't get my doctor to understand that if I was more regular I would feel better.

My daughter does and I know several of the parents on the parents' forum have kids that need Miralax regularly.

My daughter is just like you- her symptoms get much worse if she does not have a BM. Her belly pain gets much worse. She takes a capful of Miralax every night and that works well for her. Her GI is aware and recommends it - she even told us to up the dose if M goes two days without a BM.

Ds has similar issues and takes miralax daily
This really helps with "minor things"
Like abdominal pain

I take both Linzess and Miralax every day. If I get even a little constipated everything gets much worse. Lactulose is even stronger, but I couldn't stomach the thick green liquid so just use Miralax with Linzess. The Linzess has helped a great deal as well. Neither one is cheap, though. My co-pay for Linzess is $35 per month, and Miralax is over $20 for the giant economy size.
