Dosage for Ensure Plus?

I got some good advice online yesterday about using Ensure Plus to boost my nutrition levels. I managed to find a source in Perth and bought a couple of cans. I started taking it, one dose yesterday, another dose the morning. But the can doesn't tell me how many doses I need to take a day. What's the usual dose if you are trying to restore your nutrition levels?

It would seem like the amount to take in would depend on how much food you intake each day. I keep the same type of stuff in my fridge as well. Most of the time when I drink them is at work during breaks or just before heading for work. Probably the best thing would be to ask your GI or if you happen to have a nutritionist within your medical insurance to see what they suggest. Good luck

Sarah was taking 2 serve a day of ensure at dx to maintenance weight. Her GI want her to have 3 serves a day plus normal meals. At that time Sarah weight was only 44kg.

I had 8 a day in place of all meals when I needed to be liquid only. . . . Anything up to that should be fine, BUT, they are high in calories, so if you're managing to eat, you probs don't need (or physically have time for) 8 of them!! I was recommended 3-4 for weight gain after a bad flare, then recommended 1-2 for maintenance until I was back to normal nutritionally. Hope you feel better soon
