I'm not a doctor so don't quote me. You want to take enough cbd to get rid of your symptoms. For some people thats .25 mg a day for others its 250mg a day, maybe more. Also you want to build up your tolerance slowly to the drug, but its all relative.

Like I said in the other thread, I'm more than happy to compare notes with you as we experiment.

I won't be smoking it, but cooking it up into edible forms. I'm new to this, so I don't have much to share yet. I'm more than happy to share recipes and observations. There's not much here in this forum, or elsewhere online, about the preparation, dosage, delivery system, short/long term effects, etc., so it's up to us to figure this out.

I was a recreational pothead in a past life (20 years ago), so I don't worry too much about the stuff. I know what to look for as far as gauging whether or not I've had too much, in regards to things like riding a motorcycle or using power tools.

Generally speaking, start small and work your way up. What's the worst that can happen if you eat a smidgen more than you should have? You find yourself watching something stupid on TV and giggling at it, destroying a gigantic bowl of rice chex with almond milk, or taking an unscheduled nap.

So far, I've noticed improvements in the quality, frequency, and urgency of my bathroom visits. Also, a marked decrease in emotional instability (new to Crohn's and still quite ragey about it) and general reaction to stressors. And the sleep. Oh, the sleep. I haven't slept through the night for 8 months. Except for the last two weeks. Delicious.

Yes, it does dull things a bit. So far, only friends in the know have noticed that I speak a touch more slowly. Which is a good thing. I normally speak in fast, dense bursts that are difficult to understand. Definitely a lot less SQUIRREL!

Well if I were to go this route id go by my states MMJ program so I have no clue what the doctors prescribe as a standard. I know there is no high from the medical one here but not sure about therapeutic levels due to lack of research.

I live in California. You don't need a real doctor to get a marijuana license. So they don't prescribe it, just say that you are approved for it. I find I'm using about 2-3 mg of an edible most nights.

I'm taking about 1/4 of a teaspoon of butter once or twice a day. One ounce cooked down into the fats (coconut oil, cocoa butter, and a little organic butter) looks to be enough to last two months or more.

Hi MmeMagpie, can you tell me how much oil/butter you used? I'm trying to figure out dosing w/ making my own butter - hoping it's more affordable than continuing to buy edibles.

I'd say there was about 1 1/2 cups of product. It's a mix of coconut oil, cocoa butter, regular butter, and probably some other high quality fats. At 1/4 - 3/4 tsp/day, it lasts a long time.

Next, I'm going to experiment with the pre-made oils to find my ideal THC. To CBD ratio. Maybe put it into capsules to allow it to release farther into the gut where it does it's good work.

Way cheaper to make your own edibles, i have a gingersnap cookie recipie that masks the taste really well and the recipie worked out to 1 tsp of butter per cookie and a double batch (1 cup of butter) made 48-50 cookies.......

I take anywhere between 80- 160mg CBD and 8-16mg THC per day. I buy from a licenced grower, so it's always consistent. the oil I use is 20% CBD, 2% THC.
