Ok...Finally did it. Had my first dose of Remicade this morning and so far, so good. I had to ask for the pre-meds though. Now we'll just wait and see I guess.

Fingers crossed everything goes ok for you. Remicade was the best drug I have been on I wish I could go back to it. I hope it gives you long term relief x

Hope it works well for you!.....and, when I started Remicade, I did NOT get any pre meds - in fact went @5 years without......

So, stools are better, but joints are really aching, and what's going on with my feet? Soles are very tingly. Tummy pains have lessened quite a bit though.

Good luck,

And sometimes we get symptoms because we expect them.

Relax and let us know how it goes.

Thanks for asking. I think I'm feeling better. My stools are better, coming less often and more formed. Tummy feels less inflamed and the tummy pain is lessening. Dr. is pleased but is watching me closely regarding the flu like side effect symptoms. These may not come up again, if so, we'll figure out another way to deal with them.

I'm very excited, and feeling positive about this at this time.

Very good indeed.

It's all normal stuff to me....

Keep up the moral. And enjoy the new feeling of well being

Have done my 3 loading doses and feeling much better. Lost 7 pounds (and that's a good thing for me). tummy is no longer distended, cramping is almost all gone, stools are as normal as I've seen in years. The achiness in the body is something we are watching and now that I'm off for 6 weeks we'll see if that gets to ease off more and more. In the meantime, I'm taking a deep breath. Ahhhhh.
