Just saw a preview for tomorrows show and he's supposed to talk/touch base? on Crohn's .

Titled "Are your Pee and Poo killing you?"

Hmmm...I have wondered if he would ever talk about IBD on there...or he may have already and i just missed it?

I stopped watching him because my anxiety level would go through the roof. I was constantly wondering if I had cancer, heart disease, questioning whether I was overweight, trying to figure out if I had eaten enough blueberries, freaked out that Crohn's wasn't allowing me the amount of fibre Dr. Oz was recommending, seriously considering going to the doc to get checked for diabetes, and so on and so on. I had to quit on him because I was getting waaaaay too concerned about myself!

I will click in to watch him tomorrow if I'm near the TV---thanks for the heads-up!

Wow...sounds like watching him is worse than how most people get searching the internet. I could see how that could happen tho!
He pushes the "fibre" thing A LOT ! I wonder what he will say about it concerning CD tomorrow? Or if he will...
:)

Pooey, I missed it. Did you happen to catch it, Crohn's Mom?

If one watches Dr. Oz without getting too caught up in neurotic behaviour (like me), then I find that he's quite good and probably helps people take a good and solid charge of their health care. He certainly seems to provide a lot of information for people to feel self-empowered when talking about health issues with their doctor.

No need for Pooey ! LOL...it wasn't very interesting.
I was quite disappointed at how casually he referred to Crohn's, and insinuated that he could diagnose it by looking at someones poo!!
Actually, I'm quite put off ! lol
I'm considering writing his show and that's something I never ever do.
It was insulting to Crohnies in my opinion :)

My mom is an Avid Dr Oz fan, and she watches it and never does what he says, so why all the hoopla.. I have eating fibre and oat, and hot cereals all my life for fibre and I liked it and I have the worst Crohns in the family...go figure, you can't believe all you hear.

I am sure the newbies saw his show and I doubt he can tell by looking at poop to know someone has crohns, heck it took over a year of tests for my dx...so the moral of the story SEND YOUR POOP TO DR OZ!!!!

I cant stand Dr Oz, all hype and scaremongering. He is a heart surgeon, he cannot possibly know the intricate ins and outs of gastrointestinal medicine unless he hhas an advisor
