My husband is on Humira for crohn's which he has been living with for 7 yrs and already had surgery once. He has been on Humira for approx 1 1/2 yrs and it has been working wonders for him! Unfortunately our medical has dropped us and we our new application is pending so he has been without Humira for about a month and now is feeling the effects (we did not anticipate it would take this long for insurance to be sorted out!). What I need to know is if anyone else out there has been in this situation and how did you deal with it? Is there someone/place we can contact for help with meds? We have already called the state inquiring about our insurance being reinstated but to no avail...they can't speed things up. I am scared he will end up being hospitalized again.

call 1-800-4humira and tell them the problem. Also, tell his doctor - they may have samples they can give him to tide him over.
