Anyone have any experience with Dysphagia? I can't hardly eat anything, not to mention i have a ton of canker sores on my tongue and gums, so what I find I can eat with the sores, hurts my chest/esophagus and vice versa. I am losing weight rapidly and eating a mere 500 calories a day if I am lucky. I just started Remicade and Imuran and its helped the Crohn's symtoms, but not the dysphagia. I also was put on proton pump inhibitors (for GERD), but I never really had symtoms of heartburn except a chronic sore throat.
I've had the swallowing pain/having food and saliva/liquids get suck at the esophagus level for a week now and no improvement. Been on GERD meds for 4 days now. I have coughing fits at night where I end up coughing up a lump in my throat (always saliva and lots of it). I either spit it up after coughing severely trying to dislodge it or it just goes down eventually and hurts like hell in my chest.
I don't know what I can do to help make this heal, I already eat a very bland diet, no caffeine no alcohol. Really just rice and beans.
