Hello all,

I have posted a few times recently because I have been having major problems with enteropathic arthritis. I have been wondering should this be happening if you are meant to be in remission?
I currently don't think I am fully in remission as my crp and platelettes are raised I am having some problems with nausea and stomach pains but not like I have in previous flares. I am just a bit confused and disheartened at the moment as I felt I was getting so close to having a normal life. I am due to see both GI and rheumatologist soon and I am phoning tomorrow to see if this can be brought forward.
I am now back to being in pain and missing work and social events. I hope this makes sense I have had to take tramadol for the pain and it does make me feel fuzzy.
Thanks for reading x

It's really frustrating you think once things get under controll it will get better but this doesn't seem to be the case :-( Oh well starting juicing today maybe that will make a difference if not I don't know what to do but I can't carry on with this pain. Hopefully the dr's will do something.
Thank you for replying

Some EIM's run parallel to disease activity and some can occur separately to it.

Enteropathic arthrits, as the name suggests (entero), is one of the EIM's that runs parallel to inflammation in the bowel. The fact that you aren't in remission fits this and once you are in remission the arthritis you are suffering with should also abate.

Good luck! I hope you soon find lasting relief.

Thank you for replying. Just having the feeling again recently that things aren't going to get better and it's strange as I'm not having my usual crohn's symptoms so it's hard to know what to do. Going to see the GI next week (I think) and hopefully can try and get something to get the pain back down to being barable. So frustrating as jus a few weeks ago I was feeling great for the first time in over a year and was going to ask about decreasing my dose of methotrexate in the hope I can come off it, wanted to start trying for a family, but may have to put things on hold a little longer. Sorry gone off in a completely different direction but it's good to get it all out x

I hope you are able to see the GI next week and discuss your issues and concerns with them.

I also hope you are able to find some solid answers, relief and a treatment regime that is more conducive to you starting a family! Good luck! :)

Keep us posted with how you get on,
