Has anyone had experience with a slow response to EEN?
I've been on the elemental diet (drinking e028) for almost 12 weeks now and am only just starting to feel a lift in my symptoms.
I really hope that it's the diet working, although I have also been on prednisone during this time (which itself has not been effective at bringing me into remission).
Unfortunately this confounds things. I suspect that my improvements are not due to prednisone alone as it has not been effective for me in the past, and am really hopeful that I'm finally responding to this diet.
Am wondering if anyone else has done the elemental diet for a similar length of time or longer as 12 weeks is the maximum time it seems that people stay on it.
My plan is to try get off the steroids and hope that I keep improving on the diet so I can know for sure which one is doing what. Hope that makes sense.
