Hi,

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with this problem. My daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's disease several years ago. Her symptoms aren't particularly severe .

Additionally, her blood tests have me a little confused because sometimes the inflammation markers (C-reactive protein) are normal and at other times quite high.

Her Doctor is not much help. I was wondering if anything she could be taking over the counter might be raising the inflamation markers in her blood ?

Thanks.

With Crohn's CRP levels seem to vary a bit, as the inflammation changes in the body. I don't know if any meds can raise CRP (this only the doctor can tell), but I advise that she start taking Omega 3 fish oil as it might help in reducing the CRP. Also vitamin E is known to help; but it will take some time.

I advise you get some books on this like:

- The Inflammation Syndrome (talks a lot about CRP)
- The New Eating Right for a Bad Gut
- The Omega Diet
