elisa/act testing
My GP who is a pretty cool doctor put on the table a test to consider. This was just before my Crohn's dx. I had the colonoscopy scheduled and was seeing him for joint pain. He figured I had an autoimmune disease, he was right, and said some people have used this test and had success. The test involves an unusual prep. You rid yourself of chemicals, basically you stop certain meds, wear clothes washed in purified water, brush your teeth with purified water. don;t take a shower for the day before. fasting... etc. Anyway they draw blood and separate out white blood cells until they get 400 samples. Then each one is exposed to a chemical, food, pollen etc. They determine which things make your white blood cells go crazy and then you can work on eliminating that from your system/environment.
I'm thinking of trying this. Now I am newly diagnosed and as my wife knows, the hardest thing for me and this new disease is that I have to fix it. I am a mechanic and I fix things. I fix anything that happens, if I lose my job I fix it, I don't accept things not being right. darn I'm starting to vent a little lol.
So here is the link, and yes I know it comes up on some quackery websites.
