My son is travelling to the US in the summer for 2 weeks. He is currently on supplemental EN. He's reluctant to take an extra bag containing his shakes as he's travelling with 39 other teenagers as part of a lacrosse tour and desparately doesn't want to stand out. So my question is, is it possible to buy Ensure/Boost etc 'off the shelf' and, if so, where are the best places to buy it?

You can buy those in most any grocery store, pharmacy, or stores like Wal-Mart. I'm not sure which would be the least expensive. Maybe someone else will be along that may know the cheapest.

YES! It's sold at a LOT of stores over the counter.

If you want to tell us (or pm me) what states he'll be in we could tell you for sure what stores has them.

I do now that big stores like Wal-Mart has them.

Also if you search the web for stores in the area that sell boost/ensure it will be it will pop up with the nearest location

Hello, we had just seen/bought boost in powder form at Walmart. It makes 12 servings for under $10 USD. Thought this might help since it could be mixed and less to carry around???

Yes, was going to suggest the powder as well. He can probably carry more than he needs in his suitcase, just in case he can't get to a store to pick up the premade shakes. I would also send him a bottle that he can use to mix the powder/water. My daughter drinks a lot of protein shakes and her healthfood store gave her a 'blender bottle' that mixes powder and liquid easily and would be very easy for him to carry (and to mix formula).

Most stores target cvs Walmart Walgreens grocery stores carry a version of either boost or ensure .
You could order through amazom from nestle nutrition store and have it delivered to the hotel , local ups store or place he is staying .
Cheaper in bulk mail order .

That's a great idea MLP, hadn't thought of that. He's staying with a family (that he's stayed with before) - I'm sure they'd be OK with us getting some delivered.

MLP is a genius (as usual :)) - I think mail order is a fab idea. :) Saves money and no extra packing!!
