Ensure clear

Hey, I just wanted to let everyone know that ensure has a newish product called Ensure Clear (http://ensure.com/products/ensure-clear). It's fat free and has a much lighter feeling on the stomach and doesn't "hurt" as much. The taste isn't awful and is decent compared to some of other supplement drinks I've tried. I just wanted to let people know about it in case it can help anyone.

PS, I'm not an ensure spokesman but do like the effect the ensure have on me and my body/mind.

I've been wanting to try this. Does it have the "vitamin smell" like the original Ensure does?

I haven't exactly smelled either of the Ensure drinks but I know what you mean. To me, the peach flavored Ensure clear reminds me of peach schnapps (I don't really drink peach schnapps though). So yea, there is some "off" taste to it but it's not too strong in my mind. It doesn't taste like cool-aid but it's sweet and light like cool-aid. The regular Ensure fills me up like I had a snack, but with the Ensure clear I feel I could eat a regular meal afterwards.

While sorta on the topic, I also tried something called "isopure" which is another vitamin drink. This tastes exactly like grape cough syrup annnd there's 8oz of it to drink. Blehhh. Let's just say I'm having trouble opening up the second bottle but will eventually drink all 4 because of the cost (and theoretically it's healthy for you - haha).

Oh...! Boost offers the same type of products. If it taste similar it's quite enjoyable even though there is some sort of vitamin taste to it it's definitively easier to take down. I hope I'm not comparing pears with apples but I'm guessing the products are probably similar. The only downside... you can't take them when you prep-up as there is lot's of food colorant in them!

Does the clear have the same protein content? I'd like to try it because the other flavors are boring after all these years.

NGNG, I think it does have the same amount of proteins (ie: 9g per bottle).

Here's the protein levels:
Ensure Clear - Protein 9g
Ensure Nutrition Shake - Protein 9g
Ensure Muscle Shake - Protein 13g
Ensure High Protein - Protein 25g

Ensure has all the specs here (http://ensure.com/products) and they have more products than I originally realized.

I've always found mixing my Boost or Ensure with some Lactaid milk helps to balance out the taste and make it much more enjoyable to drink.

Tried the peach flavor today and it was pretty good. I saw pomegranate too but haven't tried it yet.
