I am now going on my 5th week of 9mg Entocort and I don't think it's working anymore.

The first 2 weeks I felt phenomenal and now I seem to be back to feeling how I used to.

I have an appointment on the 17th to start Humira since I was responding to the Entocort but I do not know now if that is going to happen.

I will be emailing my Doctor here soon to let him know, but I don't know if the Entocort is enough to treat my condition and I need something else with it like Humira or not. I am too scared to go on Prednisone mainly because of me already being overweight, and do not want to gain anymore.

Dont worry this has happened to me also. I have been on pred ok ive put the weight on put its working and yes it does have its side effects try not to dismiss it stright away

Depends on where your CD is?
Entocort works in the area where the ileum is, or where the small bowel meets the large, it's non systemic, it wont reach other areas, unlike Pred which does the whole system.
two months is the norm with 9mg, then reduce to 6mg for 6 weeks.
Try to give it a bit more time

Well I do seem to feel better during the day, but by the time the evening comes around I start getting my chrohns symptoms back.

I feel like Entocort quit working for me towards the end of a year of taking it. Though it turns out it did work since I was in remission (though I quickly flared again a few months later). Keep taking it but definitely talk to your Dr. about your concerns.

So I emailed my Doctor and he said that I will need additional medicine to induce and maintain remission. He said that he will likely start me on Humira. I am also on Imuran and he said he will either increase it or start me on 6MP. Can anyone tell me about 6MP ? Like is it stronger, is it more effective than Imuran ?

Imuran is the parent drug of 6MP, so not exactly the same but very similar. I don't know that one is more effective than the other but as with all drugs, alike or not, some people do show better response to one over the other.

I did post an older study comparing Azathioprine, Imuran and 6MP and it showed that Imuran and 6MP had the same remission rates but what was telling is that branded medication performed better than generic brands did. Here is the link...
