Entocort vs Prednisone for Crohn's Disease

Prednisone drives me nuts is entocort better?

I didn't have anywhere near the side effects on Entocort that I did on prednisone (actually no side effects at all), but it didn't work for me either. I say try it and hopefully it works for you.

It worked for me and no side effects I've never been on the dreaded Pred (thank goodness!)

My Dr. told me that Entocort is essentially Pred-Lite, but it isn't doing a whole hell of alot for me, personally. The only side effects I'm encountering are psychological (It's ramped up my depression, suppressed my mood, and increased my appetite.)

Yes, Entocort is amazing....Ive not been on anything else besides Entocort, but I dont have many complaints...yet~ LOL

I'm on it for a coupla months and feel great! I've been on Pred and It's nothing like it!

I had no side effects and it helped in the begining but not after the crohns got worse.

Entocort helped me into remission, added that my crohns is quite mild compared to others. Hope it helps for you!

I have never tried Entocort so I cannot say anything there. It seems like it is a 50/50 shot based on what others have said. I know that with Prednisone I get hungry all the time and even though I feel full I can't stop eating...it sucks!!!
