I am just beginning another round of entocort. I took it last year and had very favorable results. I am dong the same routine this time. I take 9 mg for one month and then 6 mg the 2nd month and then the 3rd month I take 3 mg. this time my Dr wants me to take the 3 mg for long term. I wonder if anyone else is on Entocort? I do know that you have to get your eyes checked for it can increase eye pressure and also bone loss. So I am taking lots of natural supplements and doing weight training. I eel great. Love to hear from others. I recently had a blood test and my hemoglobin was a 7 and I was sent to the hospital for a blood transfusion. I never had anything like this. I then had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and discovered tiny ulcerations that had slowly been bleeding. so that is why back on entocort. My hemoglobin is back u to 10 now.

glad ur feeling better now =) iv been on 9mg since being diagnosed and recently put on 6mp as well as i keep having flares while on the entocort but other then that no other problems. hope everything sorts out for u lovey xx

Hi Sunny Gal, dont think I welcomed you proper. :welcome:. I have been on Entocort a few times but my first time was after my first resection and was on the same as you and stayed on 3mg for about 7 years. It helped keep the crohns away but I was a bad girl and ignored it and was smoking at the time, the odd drink and not eating properly and stress and a break up. Then I got another flare.. huge one, if you look after yourself you should be ok. Hardly any side effects with it. I dont drink now or smoke but still.. not be right since my second resection in 2003. So do yourself a favour and don't ignore it. Dont live it but dont think you've licked it entirely and just maybe you might!!!! We are all different so, cheers for a longer remission!

Hi Pen thanks for sharing your experience. I do eat very healthy and do not smoke or drink. My bigest downfall is how I handle life. I have tended to get very stressed over techy stuff that do not work, my job and math issues with it. I have never adapted well to change and that is pretty hard to avoid in life. any suggestions. And thanks for the welcome
Sunny

Ha I am the same way stressing out, I am surprised my computer is still in tact lol. I am on Pristiq now, very mild but it helps me a bit. I am trying not to sweat the small stuff because the end it really doesnt matter and I am the one who pays for it. You are lucky you only have to be on Entocort, it is a mild drug but the stress is something that goes right to our gut.. and WE pay. So not worth it. I count to ten and breathe. Being in pain makes me crabby. So I try not to be either but it can be frustrating at times.

Glad you are joining us!
