I just took my first dose of entrocot an hour ago. My heart is racing, my face is red , my stomach pain just got worse, i feel nauseated and I feel like I'm floating . Do I give it more time? I had a SEVERE reaction to pred. As I had seziure like activity. I'm scared with the heart beating fast...

Opinions PLEASE

I am no doctor but, your heart will race with any steroids. and your face will fluster red too and regards to your stomach pain do you have any painkillers at home they don't have to be strong - acetaminophen or atasol , no and i mean no NSAID's. like asprisin, ibrophen, any of these are bad for you and your IBD it will make matters worse. just wait a while longer for the entrocot to get into you system. if the pain and things get worse see your doctor immediately or go to the ER. Right now i am on preds and i get sweaty , red in the face and my pain is moderate but, i take oxyneo which is a strong painkiller and acetaminophen too. and gravol if i have too that helps too a bit especially if your nauseous. try to stay away from hard food and stick with only fluids for about 5 or 7 days to see if things calm down. i know it's scary but don't worry the feelings you are feeling is normal. unless your stomach pain gets worse, then it's time to see your doctor or GI specialist or go to the ER.

Ok thanks!! Yes the heart race scares me..but I will give it more time since this seems common from what you explain. I take tramadol for pain..which normal does help me. Doctors here don't like to give narcotics unless your dying and sometimes you STLL don't get them :ybatty:

Yes, these can be common symptoms from pred but since you had such a strong reaction to prednison prior to entocort, Call your GI and make them aware of this problem. If it persists, take a trip to the ER. Do not stop taking steroids without the supervision of a doctor as you may go into adrenal shock which can be dangerous even fatal just like prednisone.
