Ew, I just realized what I can tolerate

I've just realized that there are only a few foods that I can even bring myself to THINK about eating at the moment. My appetite is mostly gone at the moment, and I can't seem to really force myself to get anything else down. It's not really that everything else makes me sick, it's just that the thought of anything else seems to totally shut down my appetite. (I hope that made sense outside my head)

Anyway, these are the lovely foods that I can currently manage to eat:

Apple Jacks (I don't even like cereal normally), and I have to eat them one at a time, suck them till they're soft. (I don't know why either, so don't ask)

Little pigs in a blanket, which I make with reduced fat crescent roll and chicken vienna sausages so they aren't TOO horrible for me. (still salty I'm sure, but I do rinse the liquid off the sausages first).

Flat earth chips (ONLY the tangy tomato ranch flavor)

salmon

That about covers it.

Wow, just reading it in black and white makes MYSELF sick. Yuck.

yes i think we've all been through this at one point and it definately isn't nice. i remember all i could even think about eating for a week was toast and KFC and so the only thing i ate for a week was toast and KFC.

eat what you can and hopefully you're body will start letting you want more foods soon. its a real pain but good luck!

Thanks, it's nice to know I'm not totally strange. :) I normally really enjoy good food, and I love to cook and eat healthy stuff. This is bugging me on so many levels. I can't imagine these foods are very good fuel for my body. I guess it's better than not eating anything at all.

I love salmon, and always have, thank goodness, but I wonder sometimes about the mercury issue. I guess I can add tuna to the list on some days. With just a little bit of whipped cream cheese mixed in, nothing else. Again, though, mercury...

At least I'm not pregnant, nursing, or planning to ever again :D

Somethings that really helped me while flaring were rice, peanut butter shakes (have a lot of calories and protein and made of peanut butter, a tiny bit of liquid chocolate, some banana, and yogurt) soup, applesauce, and banana pudding. And about the tuna thing... I find that tuna is very easy during a flare ( I mix it with some mayo, a tiny bit of mustard, throw in some shredded cheese and the spread on crackers)

I try to consume calories when flaring... in anyway possible. If it means eating five banana pudding cups, then so be it.

I can always tolerate canned chicken and rice soup. The cheap condensed kind.
Whatever you can get down, stick to it. At least you're getting protien.
How about some pancakes? I think I need some pancakes right now...

meh, hot pancakes sounds pretty good, but if I had one in front of me, I think it'd just be like everything else, and my brain would shut down on it.

yeah i think its best just to eat what you can, whatever it may be for a while. you're body will start to let you want more foods in time and you dont want to end up losing alot of weight during that period because you simply weren't eating. honestly all i ate for about 2 maybe 3 days was toast. i tried other things but i just didn't want to eat them. hope things get better soon

The last thing I'm worried about at this point is losing weight. I could feed a medium sized village of cannibals for a good week. :D

I'm serious though, Today I've had 5 little pigs in a blanket and a couple of flat earth chips. I'll probably GAIN weight.

haha i still think that eating rubbish is better than not eating at all! mmmmmmmmmmmmm.....little pigs in a blanket :p :p im really in the mood for now!

mmmm...in a blanket...nom nom nom. :D

I made something semi healthy tonight and managed to eat a few bits of it, so I feel better, but I think my stomach is now totally confused, and not sure which way to go!
