Hello everyone. I am currently taking tysabri while having a temporary ileostomy. I have had 2 infusions so far and while my output is thicker and my energy is a tiny bit better, I am still having a lot of rectal pain from my fistula tract, and I think I am getting another abscess (I've had a dozen or so drained already). I was just wondering when anyone who responded to tysabri felt a breakthrough. I am feeling really discouraged. I will try stelara after tysabri if it fails and if that doesn't work im onto the permanent ostomy because ill have to have my rectum removed (I have a cavity that keeps filling up and getting infected).

I always have enjoyed a active lifestyle and even now I force myself to keep active and play intramural basketball and lift weights so I am a healthy weight 157lbs (5' 9"), but it sucks not feeling full strength and not getting the full benefits of exercise like someone in remmission would. Im only 20 and studying economics at a pretty competitive UC school (Santa Barbara) but it's hard to stay motivated sometimes because of my health. I am only taking 2 classes right now because my energy is so low and I am in so much pain. I can't get through a day without 3 or 4 vicodin, I can barely sit through lectures.

I really just want to feel better this is my 2nd ostomy in 2 years and I have only been in remmission for a month over the last 2 years (when I had my first ostomy). The only medicine I respond to is Prednisone and I cant even take that anymore. I know a permanent bag would give me my life back but I don't know if I'm ready for it. I already wasn't the most confident person (especially around girls), and the bag just adds on to it. But now I'm starting to get so fed up with feeling like crap that I almost just want to get it over with.

If anyone could share their experiences with Tysabri, Stelara, and especially with a Permanent Ostomy that would be great.
