Failed colonscopy.

I had a colonoscopy this morning.

Followed all the prep as adviced, drank the disgusting drink, ALL TWO LITRES OF IT! Spent hours on the toilet....

Got in to the hospital today and it was a failed attempt.

Somehow, there was hard stool still inside me, they couldn't go any further.
I really do not understand how, has anyone else experienced a failed colonoscopy?

I am genuinely gutted as I had sort of set this as a milestone towards getting myself back together.

Yes happened to me. Pretty horrible considering the " work" involved! This time around dr wants 2 day prep diet with one day of miralax. Wondering how im going to manage no food no energy and dashing to the bathroom all night!

Yes my very first one. Just wasn't cleaned out enough for them to see properly. I was gutted. Having to go through the fasting and awful prep again. Hope you have better luck next time.

Yeah, mine also failed.

My inflammation was so bad, they couldn't get the camera past it. The senior doctor on call tried pushing it through. Let me tell you, it felt like the were trying to pass glass through me.
