famotidine (Pepcid) and UC treatment!

I remember when I did my colonoscopy back in May of last year and I was given a 30 day supply of this. I don't know if this actually stopped my bleeding and made my stool normal but it was normal for 2 months after and then it all came back.
So I was thinking to buy some over the counter Pepcid and give it a try.
When I eat I usually always have to go right after or during. usually twice so I'm thinking it has to do with the acid in my stomach.

I can't really find any information on colitis and famotidine.

If for some reason it helps to stop the bleeding again well I'll be surprise. I'll continue taking my pentasa too.
I hope I was misdiagnosed with just acid reflects or something :)

Maybe you should have an upper endoscopy performed if you think you have stomach problems. If it turns out you have ulcers, it could be that you have Crohns and not UC, or at the very least ulcers that should be treated correctly with something like omeprazole and antibiotics

ok thanks. my colonoscopy report shows ulcers as well as other issues in my colon and the doc who operated on me said likely crohns at that time but some how my doc said its colitis. I always had bloody diarrhea so that only means colitis since crohns is usually without blood. I had acid problems in the past a few times which require me to go to the ER.
